Super Metroidvania Jam Progress
Hi people! It's been a while, but there's been a ton of work behind the scenes since the launch of version 1.3 - widescreen, completely overhauled visuals, redone Reactor fight, an actual dialogue system (!!), and some more things. I'd like to make this post about the team and some of the new content we're adding.
The team has expanded quite a bit:
ForteFortissimo (me) - Programming, Story, Audio
Nick Brake - Sound Effects
Canetoonist - Character and Enemy Design/Art
Antonius - Environmental Art
Single shot - Character Portrait Art
Annikami - UI & Player/Enemy Skill Art
TheBoog - Game Design/Planning
This game wouldn't even remotely be possible without any of these people, so I hope you all appreciate their work as much as I do ;-;
"Ok, but what's the new content?"
New areas, bosses, artwork, music, a narrative, proper landscape and full screen. It's a lot, and it's been a long time in the making!

Ooo, particle effects~
As of this post, Fission Strike Force has 50 rooms and roughly 9 more planned - much larger than the original 23. The new music tracks for this update total roughly 12 minutes of runtime - some are completely new, while other tracks are remade versions of the music from the original game (such as this rendition of the game's main theme). There are a few new bosses, some new powers for the player to use, two large new areas and one smaller final area, and a full narrative focused on the realities of climate change and the possibility of global unity.
